Our “Life is Precious” Schools Presentation begins with a inspiring video from hip-hop star Nick Cannon . His “CAN I LIVE” music video tells the true story of how his mother - when pregnant with him - was about to have him aborted but at the last minute she got up from the operating table and ran out of the abortion clinic. Nick Cannon made the video to thank his mother for letting him live. Young people really connect with the video which presents a positive pro-life message in a modern style. Next we present a 30 second video called “VANISHED”. This shows groups of people in everyday situations - going to school, taking part in sports, getting married, etc. But one person in each group ‘vanishes”. This very thought-provoking video always leaves students in a stunned silence as they realise that 1 in 4 of their generation is missing - dead because of abortion. The next short video shows a ‘window to the womb’ with life beginning at the moment of conception, followed by the amazing 3D images of the child in the womb - smiling, blinking, sucking her thumb, etc. We designed this video to create a fuller understanding of the developing child in the womb. These powerful images leave students in no doubt as to the humanity and beauty of the unborn child. Our next video shows powerful testimonies from women hurt by abortion and the devastating effects that it had on their lives. Their heart-breaking stories expose how they were exploited and lied to by the multi-million pound abortion industry. After the video presentations there is a Question & Answer session that gives students the opportunity to ask questions about any issues they may be unsure or confused about, for example: what if the mother’s life is in danger; what if a woman is pregnant through rape; what if the baby may have a disability; what if the child is unwanted; what if a mother can’t afford to have the child. When it comes to abortion there is no shortage of “what ifs.” But our answers help the young people understand why there is never ever any need or justification for abortion. Precious Life has always known the importance of promoting a pro-life culture among the youth of today. This is why we always place great emphasis on educating young people through our Street Outreach and our Youth Outreach at Brook, and now with this new Schools Campaign. Around the world the ‘culture of death’ thrives on lies and euphemisms. We must increase our promotion of the ‘culture of life’ by using the truth as a tool to inform and educate our young people. The lasting effects of our Schools Presentations will be seen in the next generations. Remember, these young people are the future mothers and fathers. By equipping them now with the facts on why and how to defend life, we are - as in all our campaigns - “protecting tomorrow’s children today!” If you would like us to give our "Life is Precious" Presentation in your school please contact Precious Life on 028 9027 8484. |
