BREAKING NEWS: Belfast City Council vote again to light up City Hall in celebration of abortion
Pro-abortion councillors in Belfast City Council have voted to illuminate Belfast City Hall at Easter (2027) in celebration of killing unborn babies.
Their previous plan to celebrate abortion (on 28th September 2026) was thwarted, and Precious Life instead held an event to celebrate life [see: Pro-Life Victory in Belfast]
Precious Life is deeply concerned by this latest attempt by the City Council to light up City Hall again - particularly given the significance of Easter, the most sacred time in the Christian calendar, when Christians celebrate the death and resurrection of Our Lord Jesus Christ.
We are now consulting with our legal team to consider the implications of this decision and explore what steps can be taken.
We will release a further statement and provide more information once we have had the opportunity to speak with our legal team.
This plan to light up Belfast City Hall to celebrate abortion is NOT IN OUR NAME. Abortion is not something to celebrate. Every unborn child is a precious human life worthy of protection.
