In the 50th year of legalised abortion in the UK, members of Precious Life travelled to the 5th annual March for Life UK in Birmingham on Saturday 20th May to be united with all those members of the pro-life movement who are fervently fighting against a culture of death in England, Scotland and Wales!

Despite rain and opposition, these courageous pro-lifers came from all around the county. Speakers at the Rally included director of Precious Life, Bernadette Smyth, founder of Live Action, Lila Rose and Catherine Adair, a former worker at Planned Parenthood.

Both Lila Rose and Catherine Adair, coming from the United States also have a fierce battle on their hands fighting abortion in their country. Lila Rose, who has done a lot of undercover research on the work of Planned Parenthood, spoke about the importance of educating people about abortion. Catherine Adair spoke about her first hand experience of abortion, leading her to leave her job and campaign for the lives of unborn children.

Thanks to the wonderful pro-life people like yourself, Northern Ireland doesn't have legalised abortion.

However, as you know there are serious threats to our unborn children in Northern Ireland. David Ford, who previously failed to legalise abortion, is adamant to try again. And Jeremy Corbyn, leader of the Labour Party, is threatening to extend abortion to Northern Ireland, revealed through their leaked manifesto, should his party be voted into Westminster in the General Election 2017.

We must look to the UK, who has had 50 years of abortion, taking more than 8 million babies' lives  - and destroying at least 8 million mothers' lives - and strive to never let the scourge of abortion prowl into our land.

As we come from a place without legalised abortion, joining the March for Life UK, we were able bring the hope and light that a world without abortion is safe and possible. And we can all work together to end the global scourge of abortion.

Like those at the March for Life UK fighting against the slaughter of unborn babies in their land, we must do everything we can to stop abortion from coming onto our land.

Let's gather together, bring your friends and family, book your seat on a bus, and come help us celebrate life and stop abortion at the All Ireland Rally for Life on Saturday 1st July in Dublin City Centre! Call 028 9027 8484 for more info!
