To tackle the many abortion threats we will face this year, Precious Life has launched the STOP ABORTION 2010 Campaign. This dynamic initiative will ensure we stop every attempt to legalise the killing of our unborn babies in Northern Ireland - wherever and whoever the threat comes from.

• SCRAP THE ABORTION GUIDELINES - Our Campaign continues to ensure the Department of Health's abortion guidelines are scrapped and that any new guidelines issued will protect our unborn children and their mothers from abortion. [...updates]

• LOBBY FOR LIFE - we will organise regular meetings with our Assembly members and MPs to ensure the pro-life issue is high on their agenda.

We will lobby our Assembly Members to ensure that there will be a new consultation process on new guidelines, with input from pro-life medical and legal experts. [...updates]

• NO MEDICAL NECESSITY - a powerful public awareness campaign to explain that abortion is never medically necessary. We will design a new information leaflet along with a well researched Briefing Paper explaining that abortion is never medically necessary. We will print hundreds of thousands of these leaflets, and distribute them to Health Professionals, to Assembly Members, and to the general public. [...updates]

In March 2010 - as part of our NO MEDICAL NECESSITY Campaign - we will organise the first ever 'Pro-Life Doctors' Conference' at Stormont, where all the evidence on why there is no medical necessity for abortion will be presented to our politicians. Our ‘No Medical Necessity Campaign’ will expose the lies of the Department's guidelines which say abortion is necessary "in certain circumstances". [...updates]

• YOUTH RECRUITMENT DRIVE - to encourage more young people to get actively involved in the pro-life movement [...updates]
