Life Chain 25 April 2009
On Saturday 25th April, Precious Life held their annual LIFE CHAIN to commemorate the anniversary of the implementation of the 1967 Abortion Act.
Despite short notice of the event, almost 150 people turned up to 'make a stand for life' in recognition and remembrance of over 7 million little babies killed by abortion in the 41 years since the implementation of that evil Act.
People aged from 8 weeks to 88 years lined the entire length of the pavement in front of Belfast City Hall, holding signs stating "KEEP THE 1967 ABORTION ACT OUT OF N. IRELAND". Thousands of people in cars and buses saw the Life Chain as they passed along the busy thoroughfare, many 'honking their horns' to show their support. Tourists from around the world also snapped photo after photo from their open-top Tour Buses.
Our Life Chain sent out the clear message that we will never stop in our efforts to keep the 1967 Act, and any other attempt to legalise abortion, out of Northern Ireland.
