Dear Friend,
On Christmas Day we celebrate the miraculous birth of the Baby Jesus by sharing gifts with one another. Christmas is time of joy ..a time for families ..and a time for children.
But sadly, even on Christmas Day, unborn babies lives are threatened by abortion. The evil abortionists call these babies "unwanted Christmas presents". It makes me really sad and angry to think that, while we are celebrating the sacredness of life through the birth of Jesus, these blood-thirsty abortionists are gearing themselves up for a season of killing.
More babies are aborted in January, February and March, that any other time of the year due to the Christmas Party season. Just thinking about what happens to these poor, innocent, vulnerable children breaks my heart.

Yesterday I spent 3 hours with a young girl suffering after abortion. Listening to her wailing and crying over the loss of her unborn baby really broke my heart. Three days before Christmas, while everyone was out rushing about in the hustle and bustle of last minute shopping, I was trying to comfort this poor girl who has no family ..no friends ..most tragically - no baby! This is the reality of abortion – a mother grieving over her dead baby. That is why our work is so urgent and needed so much.

As I said at the beginning of this letter, more unborn babies are killed by abortion after Christmas that at any other time of year. And that means more women suffering the consequences. Recently I had the great privilege of meeting Cardinal Raymond Burke, Prefect of the Apostolic Signatura in the Vatican. He said we must not be afraid to stand up and defend all human life.. “..There is nothing more important, nothing more fundamental than to give witness in this battle for our unborn..”
Cardinal Burke also encouraged us never to become discouraged as we protect the unborn and he said pro-life work is "..close to God's heart". Hearing his words, I felt so proud of you and all Precious Life's volunteers who continue to sacrifice and give witness in the battle for the unborn.
