After the various attacks on Precious Life by the media over the past few weeks [see stories here..] we contacted the police to inquire whether there was any actual police investigation regarding our Prayer Vigils outside the FPA.

The PSNI (Police Service of Northern Ireland) have now contacted Precious Life to officially state that there is no probe or investigation into Precious Life.

The police officer who spoke to us said there is no record of "harassment" or any illegal behaviour by members of Precious Life.

He added that, while some people may get upset about our work due to the sensitive nature of the issue, Precious Life still have a right to be outside the FPA.

The question must now be asked - did the newspapers contact the police for this information?

If not, then it was soppy and lazy journalism. If they did get this information from police - but didn't print it - then it was serious journalistic misconduct. Either way, it was a deliberate attempt to blacken the name of Precious Life.

We have now contacted the newspapers concerned and demanded they print an apology.
