11 / 08 / 2011 - PRECIOUS LIFE STATEMENT REGARDING MEDIA REPORTS ON PRECIOUS LIFE PRAYER VIGILS OUTSIDE ABORTION REFERRAL AGENCY
After meeting with our legal team, Precious Life has been advised to give no further interviews to the media regarding our Prayer Vigils outside the FPA abortion Referral Agency in Ascot House in Belfast.

Because of unsubstantiated allegations and false accusations made against Precious Life in certain newspapers, our legal team is now investigating grounds for suing for libel and defamation of character.

These allegations and accusations include:

• female visitors to Ascot House are "..shouted at"; "..targeted"; and made to feel "..threatened and intimidated"

• accusations of "..aggressive" and “outrageous ..threatening and intimidating ..unacceptable" behaviour

• the word "harassment" used numerous times

• the headline - "Claims of harassment spark PSNI probe into pro-life body"

The PSNI have not informed us of any "probe" into Precious Life.

All Precious Life's activities are perfectly legal and carried out within the law.

Harassment and intimidation are serious criminal offences. Precious Life have been holding Prayer Vigils outside the FPA offices for over ten years. If these offences were taking place, police would have taken action against us long ago.

All these false accusations have been portrayed as fact by the newspapers.
Precious Life will not let this go unchallenged.
